The mathematical theory of information is at the root of the artificial intelligence revolution we are currently experiencing. Developed by Claude Shannon in a 1948 paper, it has become an essential part of many machine-learning algorithms. In this talk, information theory will be introduced through a series of games. We will also present some applications and historical remarks.
