The Howard A. Mims African American Cultural Center is pleased to host screenings and discussions of three Spike Lee films: Malcolm X (8:30 AM), Do the Right Thing (12:30 PM), and School Daze (7:30 PM).
The discussion about the films will start at 12:00 PM and be led by Professor Donna Whyte, Ph.D., who instructs the Malcolm and Martin course as well as courses on Ghana, the Slave trade and the African Diaspora. She will be joined by Professor Eric Siler, M.F.A., who teaches Introduction to Africana Studies and other film courses through the School of Film & Media Arts.
We encourage students to wear their tasteful pajamas to the screenings and discussions.
Refreshments will be served throughout the day.
