Students will meet Artis Gaines, who works in the film industry, and Dr. Mamadou Seck, a Professor of Social Work. Ms. Gaines will discuss her experiences and identify locations in Cleveland related to film scenes in The Soloist. Dr. Seck will talk about how the field of Social Work supports the homeless like those depicted in the film and individuals dealing with mental illness. UST 251: African American Image on Film will occur in the Howard A. Mims African American Cultural Center every first Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
